Meet Information for the MGGCA Coaches Invitational

SATURDAY January 28, 2005

I.  Qualifications:  Coaches must submit the official score sheets and the average
    of their top three meet scores to Colleen Stark Haws prior to January 16th, 2006.  The
    teams with the highest average scores will be notified by January 18, 2006. 
    *A coach must be a member of the coaches association by Thursday, January 5th           
    for their team to be eligible to participate.

II. Official Squad:  A team shall consist of a maximum of (5) entries per event.
    At least one of these entries must be an all-around competitor.  All 5 scores
    will be compiled in each event to determine the team score.  Each team may
    have (2) alternates for each event.

III.  Program Information Request:  Submit a march-in and competition line-up
      to the host school by Friday January 20th, 2006.

IV.  Order of Competition:  The host school will draw the competitive rotation on
     Monday January 23rd, 2006.  If you are interested in knowing your rotation prior
     to the day of the Meet contact the host school.

V.  Awards:  Trophies/Medals will be awarded to the top (3) teams.  Ribbons will
     be awarded to the members of the 4th-6th place teams.

VI.  Judges:  A combination of MGGOA and MGJOA judges will be judging the
      meet.

VII.  Tickets  will be for sale (1) hour prior to the start of the meet.

VIII.  Entry Fee:  $130.00

MEET FORMAT

Site:  Class "A"  New Prague

9:00                School Opens -- Pick up meet packet
9:00-9:50        General stretching and bar settings.  Bar settings will be 5
                      minutes per team rotating in competition order.
9:55-11:35       Warm-ups begin (10 minutes per event)
11:35              Gymnasts Clear the Floor
                      Coaches & Judges Meeting
11:50              March-in and introductions of teams and judges
12:00              Meet begins
                      A one touch will be permitted at the start of each rotation.
                      A "touch" is defined as the following:
  
                         Vault - One vault or attempt
                            Bars - 3 skills maximum
                            Beam - 3 skills maximum
                            Floor - Diagonal pass in one direction
